UPDATE: Just in time for the holidays!
We’re launching a new program here at the third meal. In short, we purchased and registered the buyakidameal.com domain. We’re printing stickers with a QR code that directs ANYONE, visiting ANY restaurant that wants to, buy a kid a meal at that particular restaurant. They don’t even have to match our donations!
Once we get agreement from the restaurant to display the sticker at the place of business, webpage for online ordering, cash register, wherever, we’ll add them to the dropdown. When someone chooses the restaurant from the dropdown the donation funds are automatically designated for that restaurant!
Every month, we’ll use the funds designated for that location to purchase gift cards and our local advocates with distribute them to the kids and families they determine.
So, how can you help?
Simple! The next time you’re in your favorite restaurant, talk to the owner or manager and ask them if they’d like to offer their customers a chance to buy a kid a meal.
If they are interested, give them our contact information and we’ll take care of it from there!
